Do you know where I can find a dog rescue kennel or pound in Italy?

Question by tomboy_atw: Do you know where I can find a dog rescue kennel or pound in Italy?
I am looking for almost any breed of dog to adopt as long as it is currently in Europe. I would like to spend as little money as possible so if you find a breeder even, send me the link! Thanks!

Yes, adopting a dog in the shelter is the best choice rather then buying from pet shop or breeder

You may try to google or do a search on “Italy Dog Shelter”
I have managed to find one shelter in Italy.

http://www.nuovacuccia.org/

They have dogs for adoption at the site above, in Italian.

Good luck!

however, know that owning a dog has it’s on expenses, do look into that before committing to a furry family member.

Does anyone know of a safe all natural female canine incontinence formula that works?

Question by lcsotter: Does anyone know of a safe all natural female canine incontinence formula that works?
My dog and a new “rescue” have this problem.I have them both on Proin minimal dosage and suspect they are still leaking a bit but I just don’t want to use this product anymore after reading how bad it is for them.
Please if anyone knows of any all natural/holistic remedies, I’d appreciate the information.
Thanks in advance.

Question by Beach Lover: Does anyone know of a wireless invisible fence that will work on a sloped lot?
We have a Norwegian Elkhound (8 months old) that will NOT stay home! She just wants to be around people. Does anyone know of a wireless invisible fence that will work with a sloped lot. Thought about the underground fence but have heard others voice complaints of “varmints” chewing them and then they have to be replaced.
I neglected to mention that I have the pup in a pen for her safety and the safety of others. I would like to ask that responders keep their answers to helpful information!

Telling me that “ALL those POS “invisible” fences are EXPENSIVE & utterly USELESS *&* DANGEROUS CRAP!!” is considered abuse of this helpful answer board thta yahoo has set up for people!

I have used the buried invisible fences before (Innotex) – the most important thing about these is to train your dog properly. You have to follow the instructions carefully to ensure that your dog respects the fence and will not run through it. However, some dogs are just not cut out for invisible fences. I once had a boxer that would sit in the electric field and let the collar shock him – you could literally see his entire neck jerking.

I have never had a problem with wires getting chewed through, though I’m sure that different areas of the country are different. Also, a slope on your lot shouldn’t make a difference. If your dog is adament about getting out, she will. If she learns how to run through it once, it will be hard to keep her from doing it again.

These types of fences are not the best for puppies and a real “fence” is always best. Plus, an invisible fence does not keep other dogs out of your yard. If you dog is not spayed, you will have every male dog in town in your yard. A real fence is always the safest.

You hold up the toy and say it’s name, make sure that the dog is looking at it.

What should I know about ferrets before buying one?

Question by mscandaceelaine: What should I know about ferrets before buying one?
I’m looking for some facts and personal stories about owning a ferret. My boyfriend wants a small animal and I thought a ferret would be great because their cute, friendly and a lot more affordable than a dog. What are your personal opinions about owning a ferret, the pros and cons more less. Where can I buy one to make sure it is healthy and friendly? Are they already spayed and descented when you buy them? What type of food is required, and how long do they live? I am not sure if it’s a good idea or not. I am just looking for feedback from owners and experts. Thanks a lot you guys!

It’s mouth is bigger, it is also darker in color as it feeds on the blood. A brown tick generally does not get on humans but a deer tick will. Please, put the address below in and click, it has pictures of both (from beginning and after feeding. A whole page of information, also more pages on other species of ticks.

VERY informative page.
