Question by AKA: Is there a big difference between 5-in-1 and 6-in-1?
I got one of those letter things from the vet telling me what vaccines my dog needs to be updated on. He recommended 5-in-1 as one of the vaccines but this vaccine “package” thing i was going to take her for uses a 6-in-1 vaccine instead. I have a small breed dog and was wondering can she get the 6-in-1 instead?

Nah. The 6-in-1 just includes one more vaccine. For example (Just example!), say the 6-in-1 contained the vaccine for Bordatella (or even Lepto) and the 5-in-1 didn’t. Lepto really isn’t common, and Bordatella isn’t really need unless you plan to board the pet, and they can always get it at anytime (and its necessary prior to boarding). But always better to be safe than sorry, you know? So if you’d like to do the 6-in-1, there is no reason why you can’t. But don’t think you can’t just go with the 5-in-1 as well. Not much difference. As long as DHPP are included (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvo, *And Rabies if 4 months+) are included, you will be fine.
