Dog Allergy Symptoms

Dog Allergy Symptoms – as part of the series on dogs and pets by GeoBeats. Hello, my name is Dr. Carolyn Quagliata. I am the owner and founder of City Pet Doctor. I am here to talk about the most common allergies in dogs. The first is food allergies. Food allergies in dogs manifest as vomiting, diarrhea and lack of appetite. Dogs are actually allergic to the protein source in the food, so usually it is a specific type of meat whether it be chicken, beef, fish, venison, rabbit: the list goes on. The second is seasonal allergies also known as atopy. These dogs present as having very itchy skin, red skin. A lot of times they will lose their hair and they also get secondary infections. Usually it is a result of certain types of pollen that accumulate in the air at that time. The third is flea allergies. The name speaks for itself but these allergies present very similar to the seasonal allergies or atopy. The important thing to keep in mind is that an allergic dog can have a combination of all the types of allergies that I listed. For example, they can be food allergic and also have atopy. So the important thing is that if your dog is experiencing any chronic symptoms whether it be vomiting, diarrhea, itchy skin or red skin make sure you talk to your Vet and so that your dog can get treated and be much more comfortable.

Animal Cruelty – WARNING: GRAPHIC DOG ABUSE

I don’t recommend that you watch this. I post such a horrendous thing mostly because it seems that animal rights people use this video. These dogs have been captured by a dog catcher by trade and are on their way to various Vietnamese restaurants near the Mekong River. When I saw this, all kinds of ideas went through my mind as far as what was the best course of action to take and the best I got was this video. The glimpse you see of the dog catcher’s face was the only glimpse he ever gave any of the disgusted onlookers. For people visiting Vietnam, I recommend that you do not eat the goat meat (no goats.) If you eat the dog meat, you will be supporting this type of business, so also don’t order it just to try it. It’s not good and tastes exactly like a wet dog smells. I spit mine out upon realizing what I was eating.

Dog Food Secrets Revealed

Here is a youtube link of news footage I found of Rendering Plants. www.youtube.com You should be worried.. processing diseased animals into dog food does not kill TSE(Mad Cow Disease). Mad cow is an infectious disease in the brain of cattle. Humans and animals who become infected, usually by eating tissue from diseased cattle, will die of a similar brain disease that may develop over many years. It basically puts holes in the brain. Recycling at its worse that has become a deadly cycle for all of us. Don’t want to believe this video beacuse its just pictures? Go do some research and you might find things that are worse. Pet food products have been linked to causes of many diseases, cancers, death and many more problems in our pets. Another thing that comes from rendering plants is an indredient in alot of our household products called “tallow”. It can be used in crayons, bar soap, candles, oil, cosmetics cleaning products and even lubricant. Tallow is the hard fat contained by the animals that end up at rendering plants. Everyday, hundreds of rendering plants across the US truck millions of tons of this “food enhancer” to poultry ranches, cattle feed-lots,dairy and hog farms, fish feed plants and pet food manufacters where it is mixed with other ingredients to feed the billions of animals that us meat-eating humans,in turn, will eat too… If this doesnt make you want to become a vegetarian and feed your dog homemade food….I don’t think anything will..
