Dog Health Food Could Save Your Dog

Dog Health Food Could Save Your Dog

Dog health food has the same purpose as health food for humans. Often our dogs health is a direct reflection of our own. But what about the additives that we aren’t even aware of, that are being put into our dog’s food? Labelling laws are much more relaxed with dog food than human, with many loopholes that are exploited to save money.

In the production process of dry food, once the biscuits are made and look ready, most dogs wouldn?t eat them. But to make it more appetising, a spray of animal fat is then applied. That?s what your dog’s smelling when they?re eating commercially produced kibble. That’s the smell you get when you first open a bag of dog food.

You probably don?t have to think hard to come up with something that you?ve seen a dog eat which you would never even contemplate eating. So in that light, what gets put into dog food that even a dog wouldn?t eat it without a tempting coating? Most people who?ve looked into the ingredients in dog food would agree that it isn?t really even food. Often there?s just nutritionally useless filler, with a small proportion of protein and additives to put some minerals and vitamins into it.

This is also why most dogs are always hungry, their food has so little nutrition in it, it’s no surprise they’re hungry. It?s a bit like if you were to eat McDonalds for every meal and expect to get the nourishment you need. You wouldn?t expect it for yourself so why would it work for your dog?

A dog?s metabolism needs much more animal protein and it can?t effectively process too much carbohydrate. So when there?s too much in the way of starch and carbohydrates in a dog?s food, it gets converted to fat because the dog can?t process it. They aren’t getting enough protein so they’re always going to be hungry. Begging for scraps five minutes after being fed. Does this sound like any dogs that you know?

By changing this so that your dog is getting all of the nutrients they need, your dog won?t just be surviving, it?ll start to really thrive. And in case you?ve been feeding your dog on ?premium? or ?ultra premium? foods thinking that you are giving them the very best, that?s necessarily the case. Often there?s very little, if any difference in the actual ingredients of the food, just different packaging.

So you need to make sure that there is a proper breakdown of protein, fats and carbohydrates in the food your dog eats. And also there is a big variation in the quality of the protein. The regulations about what makes a complete food suitable for dogs only concerns the gross amounts of protein and fats, not the quality of the protein.

There are many different types of proteins, road kill and beef are not the same quality, so you want to make sure that there are named meats and not ?animal? meat in your dog food. Another method that is becoming more and more common is to make your own so that you know exactly what goes into the food the your dogs? eating.

It doesn’t need to be a long winded chore and is often a cheaper option. It?s also a great way to vary your dog?s diet so that they get plenty of the nutrients that they need. Mixing up some ground beef, vegies and oatmeal is a great way to cover the nutritional bases that your dog needs. You can really let your imagination go, just make sure you avoid foods like onions, raisons and chocolate in your recipes.

Dog health food is a lot about knowing what goes into your dog?s food and making it yourself is a great way to be 100% certain of what you?re feeding your best friend. By taking a little time to find out what really goes into your dogs food, you can give your dog more energy and a longer, healthier life.

Did you know that not being aware of what goes into your dog’s food could be making them sick and could even rob years from your best friend’s life. Dog Training Kits 1.0 For Dog Trainers And Dog Owners

Dog Training Kits 1.0 For Dog Trainers And Dog Owners

Dog Training Kits 1.0. This is the right app for dog owners and dog trainers train their dogs, for instance, obedient training, reaction training, potty training, and learning training.

This application is all about loving, understanding, and communicating with your puppies/dogs. It is dedicated to proud dog owners and their lovely friends.

The fact is, dogs are a lot smarter and more aware than we human beings usually think. In order to better train your dogs to behave obediently and discourage their bad behaviors, they’ve developed this training kit.

Three dog training tools are included in this kit:

Firstly, clicker training. Clicker training is an animal training method based on behavioral psychology that relies on marking desirable behavior and rewarding it.

Desirable behavior is usually marked by using a “clicker,” a mechanical device that makes a short, distinct “click” sound which tells the animal exactly when they’re doing the right thing. This clear form of communication, combined with positive reinforcement, is an effective, safe, and humane way to teach your dogs any behavior that it is physically and mentally capable of doing.

Next, bell training. Train your dogs go to potty when the bell is ringing. With an early start and concentrated effort, it is possible to train your dog to ring a bell whenever they want to go outside to relieve themselves. Bell training is not difficult, but it requires a great deal of consistency and dedication during the training.

And finally, whistle training. Dogs hear higher frequencies better than people do. That’s why dog whistles seem to be silent. Dogs hear the high frequency sounds that we can’t. Dog trainers use dog whistles to get a dog’s attention. Hand signals are often combined with dog whistles. Smaller dogs are more sensitive to higher frequencies compared to larger dogs. Younger dogs generally have more acute hearing than older ones. Dog whistles are varied from 1000Hz to 44000Hz.

They have included different clicker sounds, bell sounds, and whistle sounds in this app, sure you will find the one that works for your dog.

Buying A Dog Online

Buying A Dog Online

Buying your next dog should be a pleasurable experience. The internet offers a variety of options for buyers to find breeders of all types of dogs, but there are a few helpful ways to sift through all you’ll find.

Know What Works for You
It’s important that when you’re actually in the market to buy a puppy, you’ve done the necessary research to a make sure it will fit into your lifestyle. Dogs, especially puppies, are just like children and they need constant care. (This topic can be saved for another day).

With that said, once you know the type of dog that fits best into your life, it’s time to start searching the internet. Having a few breeds in mind will help you move past everything you don’t want to see. This is all about ease, so if you can search “labs for sale” you’ll be better off. Which brings you to two types of sites: dog classifieds and breeders.

Finding the Right Site
Whatever your internet search returns you’ll have two distinct directions to start from. From a puppy availability standpoint, look at the all-inclusive classified sites. Unlike breeder sites, if you browse places like,, or, you’re guaranteed to be in a place where there will be plenty of available puppies. Each site allows you to narrow your search by certain characteristics including breed and location — two key factors to quickly finding available dogs near you.

After narrowing your search, you’ll be able to browse for just the type of dog you’re looking for. Simply clicking on a certain dog ad will bring up its page and from there you’ll be able to directly contact the seller. Just like that, your search could be over. (Painless, right?) It’s important to remember that these sites are not selling dogs, they are just serving as a meeting point for buyers and breeders (more on that later).

I don’t want to discourage visiting breeder sites, it’s just that you don’t really know what you’re going to find when you open their page. Breeder sites range from up-kept and modern to old or outdated. As for any available dogs, there is no way to know going in if they even have puppies for sale. Some sites last listed litter go back to the summer of 2006. On the positive side, when breeder sites are updated, entire litters are posted, planned breeding may be disclosed and you get an immediate feel for the type of business that’s being run.

If you’re looking to simplify the search, use one of the larger dogs sites mentioned earlier. You’ll be connected to web-savvy breeders, who have available puppies or dogs for sale.

Be Aware of Who You Contact
Dog classified sites are a great place to find dogs for sale, but take some caution when contacting sellers. These sites work very hard to control their content and keep scam ads away, but one or two can slip through the cracks.

When contacting a seller, make sure you receive a phone number and talk to them in person. Find out where they are located — if it’s not specified in the ad. Find the name of their kennel and visit their web site. Scam ads are set up to discuss everything through email, and they can occasionally be tied back to an official-looking site. Simply, be aware of who you’re dealing with and don’t commit to anything without doing some of the research mentioned above. Oh and a good rule of thumb, if an ad appears to too good to be true, it probably is.

Don’t let any of this information scare you away from classified sites. Every effort its made to verify the owners of each listed puppy. There are tons of loving breeders all over this country, and there shouldn’t be anything to deter you from trying to reach them.

Buying Your Dog
Regardless of the direction you take (classified or breeder sites) always try and see the dogs in person.

This helps you know who raised the dogs and the conditions they come from. You should want to get an idea of the dog’s temperament, physical appearance and health. And who knows you might even find a puppy you didn’t see and like it better.

Using online resources are a great way to start and do most of the work but it won’t tell the entire story. Use classifieds and breeders to your advantage because it definitely speeds up your search.

Dog Crate Training – is it Cruel?

Dog Crate Training – is it Cruel?

Dog training takes on many different forms. For some, it is only a matter of going through basic obedience training and teaching your dog how to do things such as sit, come on command and stay. For others, however, it really goes a lot further than that. A good example of this is if you need to do some dog crate training. There are a number of different reasons why you might want to train your dog to stay in a crate. Here are some of the reasons why you might want to do so and the easiest way for you to get started.

First of all, you need to put the misconception out of your mind that dog crate training is cruel. If you have ever seen a dog that has been properly crate trained, you would realize that they actually consider this to be their own little space. Far from being cruel, it is actually being kind to your dog by giving them someplace that they can escape to whenever necessary. They can also go a long way in helping to keep your dog under control and safe whenever you’re not at home.

Dog crate training sometimes takes a little bit of getting used to for your pet. At first, they are probably going to whine and cry and perhaps even bark whenever they are confined within this area. If you have the ability to do so, try to make their first sessions inside of the crate relatively short and build up to longer sessions inside. If it is necessary for your dog to stay in the crate for a long time, the first time they are placed into it, they will not be traumatized or harmed in any way. All it will do is shorten the crate training process.

If your dog is having a particularly hard time with his training, you may try adding a special toy to the area. You should be careful, however, that you don’t give him something that could easily be torn apart and become a choking hazard.  If your dog tends to be destructive with toys, you should buy an indestructible toy, such as a kong. A puppy might also do better in the crate at night if there is a ticking clock nearby or perhaps some other sound that will help to keep things from being so quiet. It will take persistence on your part but once your dog gets used to being in the crate, you will be happy that you took the time to train them in this way.
